ZIF and EUISS co-host Workshop on EU-UN Partnerships

16.03.2018

Together with European Union Institute for Security Studies (EUISS) and in cooperation with the European External Action Service’s Crisis Management and Planning Directorate (CMPD) and the United Nations Liaison Office for Peace and Security in Brussels (UNLOPS), ZIF co-hosted a brainstorming workshop on the next set of priorities for the UN-EU Strategic Partnership on Peacekeeping and Crisis Management on 14 March in Brussels.

Similar to its 2014 EU-UN Initiative, the workshop presents the first step in process to develop a new strategic document which should guide the future cooperation of UN and EU in peace and security. The current agreement, the "2015-2018 Priorities on Strengthening the UN-EU Strategic Partnership on Peacekeeping and Crisis Management" will come to an end this year. Another workshop is envisaged in New York, the launch of the new priorities at the end of this year.
