From March 17-18 ZIF hosted a workshop within the framework of the civcap project focussing on assessment of roster candidates. During the workshop different assessment methods (e.g. interviewing techniques, group assignments etc.) as well as the documentation of information and their relevance for rapid response capabilities were discussed.
The workshop was attended by representatives of national recruitment agencies such as NORDEM and NORCAP from Norway, the US Office of the Coordinator for Reconstruction and Stabilization, Folke Bernadotte Academy from Sweden, the Japanese Hiroshima Peacebuilders Center, and the Crisis Management Center from Finnland as well as of multilateral organizations such as the OSCE, UNV and the EU. Additionally, GIZ and the Forum Civil Peace Service (forumCPS) represented German development aid organisations.
All identified Lessons and Good Practices will be collected in a workshop report which will soon be published on the project website civcap.info.
