New Frameworks for Peace Operations Partnerships

High-Level Workshop on future international cooperations in Berlin

In recent years, international and regional organizations have cooperated increasingly closely to sustain a wide range of peacekeeping and peace support operations, ranging from Sudan to Kosovo and Afghanistan. To meet the demands of this growing inter-organizational cooperation, ZIF together with the New York University Center on International Cooperation (CIC) organized a high-level expert workshop on November 7-8, 2011 in Berlin. 

During those two days, senior policy officials from the European External Action Service, OSCE, NATO, CSTO (Collective Security Treaty Organisation), UN DPKO, and think tanks reviewed the state of peace operations partnerships and discussed possibilities for strengthening cooperation at all levels.
