Launch of ENTRi

Europe’s New Training Initiative for Civilian Crisis Management

The European Commission has confirmed funding to ZIF in cooperation with twelve partner institutions from Member States of the European Union (Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Great Britain, Hungary, Italy, Netherlands, Rumania, Sweden, Slowenia) to implement ENTRi – Europe’s New Training Initiative for Civilian Crisis Management.

The project will run over a period of two years from 10 January 2011. Activities within ENTRi include the preparation and organization of pre-deployment and specialist courses for civilian experts to be deployed in civilian crisis management missions of the EU, OSCE, UN, and AU. The creation of a deployment manual will also be part of the project.
