Crisis Management Toolbox Co-published with SAIS

SWP and ZIF publish the Crisis Management Toolbox. The Toolbox which is a product of a joint project on behalf of the German Foreign Office earlier this year is included in a joint publication of SWP, ZIF, DGAP and the Center for Transatlantic Relations of the Johns Hopkins University's Paul H. Nitze School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS).

The Toolbox is a reference guide which

• explains basic principles of crisis management (such as Local Ownership or Human Security),
• identifies the core international actors,
• provides a selection of tools and instruments of civil crisis management (SSR, Small Arms Control, Peacebuilding, etc.).

Each toolbox entry offers one page definitions, background information, examples for implementation and current additional readings.
