Specialization Course on Field Security

From 20-25 February ZIF carried out a Field Security Training at the UN Training Center of the German armed forces in Hammelburg. Twenty participants took part in the training that covered topics like behavior in complex risk situations, mine awareness, stress management, behavior at checkpoints, and behavior under fire. This training is specifically geared to civilians working in high risk crisis areas and involves simulations of security threats. Modules are led by personnel of the Bundeswehr.
The next Field Security training course will take place from July 3-8. The application deadline is May 8, 2011.
