The International Association of Peacekeeping Training Centres (IAPTC) was founded in 1995 by the Pearson Peacekeeping Centre of Canada. The aim of its yearly conferences is to facilitate the exchange of information between training providers worldwide.
This year’s conference focussed on the need of “training for peacekeeping missions with complex mandates”. Within the framework of the Integrated Training Partner Platform, a joint presentation on the “Training on Mentors” was given by Dr. Almut Wieland-Karimi, Director of ZIF, LTC Josef Taubeneder of the UN Training Centre of the German Armed Forces in Hammelburg and Chief Superintendent Markus Feilke of the Federal Police Academy in Lübeck.
