ZIF training course on „Mentoring in Civilian Crisis Management“

From 14th to 18th November ZIF carried out a training course on “Mentoring in Civilian Crisis Management”.
The thematic inputs covered definitions of mentoring, techniques and exercises related to negotiations, concepts of Local Ownership in mentoring, working with interpreters as well as an input addressing intercultural communication.
The role plays allowed the participants to actively practice the generated knowledge. Complementary to the inputs by external experts, the participants shared many examples and best practices from their working experiences gathered in various Missions including but not reduced to EULEX Kosovo, EUPOL Afghanistan or UN MONUSCO.
