2nd "Dialogue Series" Meeting of DSRSGs

The "Dialogue Series" is an annual knowledge-sharing event for Deputy Special Representatives of the Secretary General (DSRSG). The second meeting of the "Dialogue Series" brought together Deputy SRSGs of numerous UN missions, representatives of UN agencies and departments, as well as leading international experts in Turin/Italy from 13-15 December. Their discussion focussed this year on “The Role of Elections in Peace Operations”. Among others, DSRSGs from Cote d’Ivoire, Iraq and Liberia shared challenges in past and upcoming elections.

The meeting was opened with a presentation by Roland Paris, University Research Chair in International Security and Governance at the University of Ottawa. The "Dialogue Series", implemented cooperatively by the UN System Staff College (UNSSC) and ZIF, is made possible through the financial support of the German Foreign Office.
