This training course has been developed in cooperation with the Academy of the Federal Police in Lübeck. Given the complexity and diversity of contemporary conflicts and the range of actors involved, the course offers participants a broad understanding of the fundamental concepts of cultural differences, cultural interaction and culture in the context of globalisation. Furthermore the effects of cultural differences in relation to staff management and leadership in general are being addressed.
The training seeks to provide participants with some conceptual, analytical and practical tools that will allow them to understand and operate more effectively in peacekeeping environments.
The course touches on all relevant soft skills which often turn out to be a major stumbling stone in international assignments. The course engages participants in simulations of difficult situations that allow them to reflect on their behaviour on an individual level and as a manager. Given the multi-cultural environment of peace missions, this course is an excellent training for everyone working in the field.
Please note that this training takes place either in Lübeck or Berlin.
