Berlin Expert Dialogue on the Peace Process in Colombia


What is to be learnt from the Colombian Peace Process for other conflicts around the globe? This question was the focus of ZIF’s Berlin Expert Dialogue that took place on December 9 and 10 at Liebenberg Castle (Löwenberger Land). The event emphasized both the implementation of peace agreements on the local level as well as success, setbacks and lessons learnt and their transferability to other peace process, such as Afghanistan or Mali. Representatives of the German Federal Foreign Office, the Colombian government, UN, EU, NGOs, Think Tanks, peace operations on the ground and local stakeholders contributed to a lively debate and to generating new ideas for the work on peace processes worldwide.
