The main topics of the meeting on 10th and 11th April were the fostering of cooperation, joint use of resources and the future strategy of the Standby Partnership-Network. The event was attended by representatives of OCHA, RedR, UNHCR, UNDP, DRC, FAO, NRC, DFID, DSS Water, MSB, WFP and WHO. Moreover, it has been discussed how a better operation preparedness by strengthening humanitarian training services could be achieved, as well as the financial and personnel contributions of Standby-Partners.

The Standby Partnership (SBP) is a network of humanitarian UN agencies and Roster-Organisations, which provide ad hoc personnel for humanitarian crisis missions. ZIF is contributing within the SBP-Network by providing personnel care and by supporting training initiatives of OCHA (UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs).

For this year, it is planned to second German civilian experts with a humanitarian profile to OCHA field missions. ZIF is being supported financially and politically by the Federal Foreign Office in this effort.
