Disarmament, Demobilisation, Reintegration
The disarmament and demobilisation of ex-combatants is an important prerequisite for preventing a resurgence of violent acts. In addition, reintegration measures are a key element implemented by civilian personnel in close cooperation with local institutions and international development agencies.
You can expect to be involved in the following tasks:
- Establishing disarmament camps for the temporary accommodation and care of ex-combatants;
- Registering ex-combatants;
- Monitoring disarmament and demobilisation;
- Observing and analysing the social, political and economic framework conditions for reintegration;
- Carrying out measures for the distribution of reintegration aid;
- Designing and organising occupational re-training and training courses;
- Establishing advice centres;
- Supporting potential candidates in job searches.
