Calendar ZIF Training Courses

The training raises the participants’ awareness of potential dangerous situations in the field and teaches techniques and tools for meeting these situations. Through simulation and exercises participants apply what they have learned and practice their behaviour in specific dangerous situations.

The Comprehensive Core Course (CCC) (formerly CGTPO) prepares experts for deployment to UN, OSCE, or EU peace operations. The course follows the ZIF Civilian Expert Concept and builds the professional, personal, social and methodological skills required to successfully work in a peace operation.

The course provides participants with the space to reflect on and develop their leadership skills together with peers and facilitators. It follows the idea that a guided journey, linking personal values, personality and experience with one‘s leadership skills, is the best way to improve and eventually ‘master’ leadership.

Taking stock of the last 20 years, the course reviews and discusses the experiences and lessons learned from the application of gender-sensitive approaches in the context of EU, UN, OSCE and other peace operations. This course allows participants to reflect on and further develop the tools and skills they need to work in the area of gender, peace and security.
