About
Lotte Vermeij is a senior expert on UN peace operations and conflict-related sexual violence at NORCAP/Norwegian Refugee Council and a visiting fellow at ZIF.
She has more than 15 years of experience combining peacekeeping practice, policy, research and training. With eight years of field experience in conflict and post-conflict areas in Africa, she has worked at both the operational and strategic levels. Her areas of expertise include the protection of civilians, conflict-related sexual violence, civil-military coordination, women, peace and security, and children and armed conflict.
Lotte Vermeij is a certified Leadership, Resilience and Systems Coach who specializes in supporting individuals and teams in the peace and security sector. She holds a PhD in Disaster Studies and an MPhil in Peace and Conflict Studies.
