Nearly 20 years after the UN Security Council referred the Darfur situation in Sudan to the International Criminal Court (ICC), victims and survivors of atrocities are still seeking justice and accountability, Prosecutor Karim Khan told ambassadors on Tuesday.
With the crisis escalating in Sudan, there have been 15 reports of attacks on healthcare workers and health facilities since last November, the World Health Organization (WHO) said on Wednesday.

The world’s largest humanitarian organization (WFP) suspended its operation in North Darfur state after the looting of its warehouse in El-Fasher. From the evening of December 28 until the morning of December 30, hundreds of looters took over 5,000 tons of food and dismantled warehouse structures.
The UNHCR has said Sudanese security forces shot a man in the head and raped several women during protests against the country's military leaders. More protests are expected over the coming days.
Prime Minister Abdallah Hamdok renewed calls on Saturday for an inclusive political agreement enabling him to form a third transitional government.
