International Advisory Board discusses the future of peace operations

This year's meeting of ZIF's International Advisory Board was dedicated to the future of international peace operations. From June 22-23, the Advisory Board met in Berlin. During the discussion, the Board members provided fascinating insights and impulses from their respective fields of work on how the events in Afghanistan and Ukraine impact peace operations today and in the future.

Board members also undertook a historic city tour of the Gendarmenmarkt including a climb to the top of the French Cathedral and participated in a Food for Thought breakfast with Dr. Thomas Bagger, designated German Ambassador to Poland. With Ambassador Bagger, the Board members exchanged views on how to balance Germany's efforts in national defense and international engagement in the future. Furthermore, the members of the Advisory Board also participated in the 20th anniversary celebration of ZIF.
