From February 21 to 26, 2026, Head of Human Resources, Julia Gellermann, and Andreas Wittkowsky (Team Analysis) visited the European Union Mission in Armenia together with representatives of the Federal Ministry of the Interior and Community (BMI) and the International Police Missions Working Group (AG IPM). The visiting group met the German contingent, consisting of civilian experts and police officers, and learned about their working and living conditions. The delegation also met the German Head of Mission, Markus Ritter. Regular mission visits are part of ZIF's duty of care.

The EU Mission in Armenia has been in the country since February 2023 and is tasked with monitoring the security situation at the border between Armenia and Azerbaijan. Around 100 international employees regularly patrol and report on the situation in order to contribute to human security and strengthen trust between the two countries. The mission is headquartered in Yeghegnadzor and has six field offices.
