Climate Security Workshop

Together with adelphi and the European Center of Excellence for Civilian Crisis Management (CoE), ZIF held a first (of two) expert workshops on "CSDP Missions and Climate Security & Environmental Impact". The aim is to promote the exchange between the European External Action Service (EEAS) and the United Nations in this field. The focus of the first workshop was on the experiences of the UN peace operations MINUSMA (Mali) and UNMIK (Kosovo) in reducing their environmental footprint. During the year, ZIF is planning more initiatives with partners on Climate & Environmental Security.
