Humanitarian exchange in times of Corona: Humanitarian Networks and Partnerships Weeks (HNPW) 2021
Every year, the Humanitarian Networks and Partnerships Week (HNPW) is a highlight in the calendars of humanitarian actors around the world. Once again this year, OCHA and the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC) organized an extensive program for exchange and networking on current humanitarian issues – this time, the whole program is offered online due to the current Covid19 situation.
ZIF also took part in various sessions, for example in discussions about the Triple Nexus, in which the importance of a joint consideration of peace, development and humanitarian aid for the work in the field was continuously emphasized - the focus was on the guideline Do No Harm and Do More Good.
In addition, ZIF took part in sessions in the field of mental health and duty of care - topics that are also particularly important in our humanitarian standby deployments.
As every year, ZIF valued the global networking and exchange among colleagues – even under the current conditions, because the online format also has some advantages: Not only could the group of participants be expanded – this years program offers sessions over three weeks, and thus does not concentrate on just one week as in previous years.
The HNPW offers various interesting sessions until May 7th - further information and registration options for those interested can be found in the program.
