On 28 March, ZIF conducted an in-depth session on process design with the EEAS Pool of Mediators at La Hulpe in Brussels. The module was conducted in cooperation with the Center for Security Studies of the ETH Zurich and focused on an interactive simulation exercise to provide the 10 participants with a deeper understanding of process design and its application in mediation processes. Aim of the simulation was to provide the mediators with an approach to process design that would enable them to improve mediation outcomes and be more effective in their role as mediators.

The interactive simulation exercise allowed participants to explore the different aspects of process design and gain practical experience in applying this knowledge to their own work. The training was designed to be highly interactive and focused on experiential learning, allowing participants to actively engage in the learning process.

The ZIF team welcomed the opportunity to work once more with the highly qualified professionals from the EEAS Pool of Mediators and to make a contribution to building their capacities in peace mediation.
