The new map provides information and staff numbers for the various missions of the UN, EU, OSCE and other organizations. Compared to last year, both the total strength (-13%) and the number of civilian personnel (-4%) in these missions has decreased. This is primarily due to the withdrawal of NATO troops from Afghanistan and the closure of the UN/AU mission in Darfur (UNAMID). Despite these developments, ZIF was able to maintain the number of seconded German experts. About 110 are currently working in field missions and another 55 in the headquarters of various organizations and in humanitarian missions.
