Civilian experts awarded on National Peacekeeping Day 2022

Federal Minister of Foreign Affairs, Annalena Baerbock, Federal Minister of Defence, Christine Lambrecht, and Federal Minister of Interior and the Community, Nancy Faeser, were present to interview and award German mission staff with a trophy. We congratulate our seconded staff and ZIF experts Sabine Arnold (currently Justice Adviser for UNMISS in South Sudan), Sebastian Hulde (until closure Operations Coordination Officer for the OSCE Special Monitoring Mission (SMM) in Ukraine) and Hannelore Valier (Head of Human Resources of EUAM Ukraine) being honored as German Peacekeepers of the year.

The ceremony has first been held in 2013 by the three Federal Ministries together. It marks a big step forward to more visibility and appreciation of the challenging work in international operations.
