Workshop Climate-related Security Risks & Environmental Crime

On 30 March 2021, adelphi, the European Centre of Excellence for Civilian Crisis Management and ZIF jointly facilitated a workshop on the topic of „Climate-related Security Risks & Environmental Crime“. During two sessions, participants from, inter alia, EEAS, EUPOL COPPS, EUROPOL, INTERPOL, UNSOM , UNODC, and the UN Department of Peace Operations discussed a variety of issues, ranging from the mandates of missions, to best practices, and potential for cooperation in this field. The workshop offered extensive input, in particular regarding future civilian CSDP missions, and marks a starting point for further engagement.
