UN Peacekeeping took a major step forward with the adoption of the Strategy for the Digital Transformation of UN Peacekeeping. Embracing a fuller use of new technologies to support mandate implementation and better protect civilians and peacekeepers, now requires innovation, comprehensive and committed action, and principled approaches to mitigate risks. The article describes challenges and goals of the strategy and points to the need for multidisciplinary partnerships as a key to implementation.
