Among the priorities of the European Centre of Excellence for Civilian Crisis Management (CoE) are ‘Training Alignment’ and ‘Mission Leader support’. The member-based association of EU Member States explores ways to increase the available resources aimed at providing (future) mission staff with appropriate generic mission preparation. The CoE is advocating for an integrated approach of joint training for staff from different professional backgrounds. It supports effective leadership of civilian CSDP missions, building on work done by training providers under the auspices of the EUCTG, intergovernmental organizations, relevant international NGOs and networks.
