Web Manager

Web Managers plan, design and implement web-based information management tools. Their knowledge of various coding languages as well as experience in database design enable them to develop web-tools for the humanitarian crisis.
 
Web Managers pay particular attention to detail, are able to prioritise tasks and show creativity as well as strong problem-solving skills.

Specific profile requirements for Web Managers

  • Preferably a university degree or completed vocational training in computer sciences or related field;
  • Sound knowledge of the humanitarian system;
  • Working experience in an international organisation is preferred;
  • Sound knowledge of HTML, PHP, Java, SQL, MS Access, Progress tools

General profile requirements

  • Completed vocational training and/or studies (preferably in the professional profile for which you are applying);
  • At least three years of relevant professional experience; at least one of which in the desired professional profile in a humanitarian mission (or comparable);
  • International experience (preferably in a crisis region);
  • Excellent oral and written German language skills (C2 level);
  • English language skills at level C1 and above;
  • Further language skills at level B1 and above desirable (especially French, Spanish and Arabic);
  • Proven availability for a deployment for up to twelve months;
  • Travelling ability, tropical suitability
