With the support of the German Federal Foreign Office, ZIF facilitated the Information Management Preparedness and Coordination Training (IMPACT) by the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (UN OCHA) from March 12.-18.

Building on the experiences and expertise of various stakeholders, the training addressed key issues concerning the Information Management, Preparedness and Coordination of humanitarian aid, especially in disasters. In addition, the training  encouraged participants to contribute to better humanitarian responses through innovative thinking and concrete problem-solving approaches.

ZIF's training cooperation with UN partner organizations enables humanitarian experts from the ZIF Expert Pool to participate in UN specialization courses. This time two members of the ZIF Expert Pool were able to further qualify themselves by participating in the OCHA training. We thank UN OCHA Field Information Services (FIS) and all participating experts and facilitators for the successful completion of the training.
