ZIF organized two “in-mission trainings” for the EU Advisory Mission (EUAM) Ukraine. Back in August 2024, ZIF trainers Sande Späker and Matthias Zeller traveled to Kyiv to conduct the “Team & Conflict Management in Peace Operations” course on site with mission workers.

From October 22 to 24, 2024, Predrag Tapavicki, head of the ZIF Training team, and Sande Späker traveled to Kyiv again to hold the training for another group of participants. The aim of the training was to strengthen the more than 30 participants - both from the headquarters and from the two field offices in Lviv and Odesa, as well as the Mobile Unit - in areas of team and conflict management, particularly with regard to the challenging work in a war zone.

This further enhanced the mission's ability to maintain the very high quality of its work even under particularly difficult working conditions and to align management structures and internal communication methods in such a way that they contribute to the mission's successful work.

ZIF and EUAM have been cooperating in training since summer 2023. ZIF works closely with the mission, particularly regarding increasing stress resilience and team and conflict management in the mission. During the second training session, the ZIF trainers also met part of the German contingent of the mission in Kyiv and had an intensive exchange with the mission leadership on the content of the training cooperation.

ZIF regularly conducts “in-mission trainings”: the tailor-made format and the specially developed content enable the missions to cover specific training needs. ZIF is therefore not only a strong partner as a secondment organization, but also stands for sustainable crisis management and personnel welfare in training.
