Afghan Taliban cancel peace talks with US citing 'agenda disagreement'

The Afghan Taliban said Tuesday they had called off peace talks with U.S. officials in Qatar this week due to an "agenda disagreement," especially over the involvement of Afghan officials as well as a possible cease-fire and prisoner exchange.

Trump calls on Russia, Pakistan to take more active role in Afghan conflict

US will not support Afghan forces with airstrikes after troop withdrawal – CENTCOM head

The United States is not planning to support Afghan forces with air strikes after the U.S. troops withdrawal is complete, and counterterrorism strikes in Afghanistan will be limited to instances when attack plans have been discovered to strike the U.S. homeland or the homelands of our allies, according to the top U.S. commander in the Middle East.
