US organizes deployment of multinational naval force in the Red Sea to protect commercial shipping

EU launches proceedings against X over Israel-Hamas disinformation

The European Union has announced "formal infringement proceedings" against X after identifying suspect posts related to the war between Israel and Hamas. It is the first such move against a major online platform under a new EU law designed to combat disinformation and hate speech.

UN General Assembly votes by large majority for immediate humanitarian ceasefire

The UN General Assembly met on Tuesday afternoon in Emergency Special Session on the decades long Israel-Palestine conflict and as the ongoing crisis in Gaza shows no signs of abating. Member States adopted a resolution, demanding an “immediate humanitarian ceasefire”, the immediate and unconditional release of all hostages and well as “ensuring humanitarian access”.

UN's Türk urges probe into alleged sexual violence during Hamas terror attacks
