Syria slams ‘flagrant’ Israeli violation after deadly bombardment

The violence near the UN-patrolled buffer zone on the Golan Heights followed Israeli air strikes in central Syria, the latest in a string of attacks on military sites since Islamist-led forces overthrew longtime president Bashar al-Assad.

UN envoy strongly condemns continuing Israeli attacks inside Syria

Netanyahu says Israel won't allow Syrian forces 'south of Damascus'

Security Council extends mandate of UNDOF for six months

The Security Council today extended the mandate of the United Nations Disengagement Observer Force (UNDOF) in the Golan for six months until 31 December and requested the Secretary-General to ensure that the Force has the required capacity and resources to fulfil its mandate “in a safe and secure way”.
