Libya's Bashagha says he supports removal of foreign fighters

Libya's parliament-appointed Prime Minister Fathi Bashagha said on Wednesday his government supported removing all foreign forces and mercenaries from Libya, guided by a committee set up to safeguard a ceasefire after the 2014-2020 conflict.

UN Advisor on Libya says at Cairo meetings: There's no room for failure

Fighting between rival militias rocks Libya’s capital Tripoli

Moscow pulls mercenaries from Libya

Moscow has pulled more than 1,000 Syrian and Russian mercenaries from Libya, as it faces setbacks and personnel losses in its invasion of Ukraine. According to the Financial Times, about 200 Russian mercenaries from the Kremlin-linked Wagner Group, and about 1,000 pro-Russian Syrian fighters have been withdrawn from the North African country.
