Regional observers endorse Congo's election - with caveats

Election monitors from the Southern African Development Community (SADC) said on Wednesday that Democratic Republic of Congo’s presidential election “went relatively well” despite chaotic scenes that prevented many from voting.

DRC blocks RFI broadcasts, cancels press accreditation for its correspondent

DRC electoral fraud fears rise as internet shutdown continues

Fears of electoral fraud are rising in the Democratic Republic of the Congo after officials said a total block on internet connections and SMS services imposed after the chaotic presidential poll on Sunday could last for several days.
